1223. Preliminary sweeping experiments with PATUXENT and PAT[A]PSCO gave very conclusive results. It is proposed to make an actual test of sweeping the Northern Barrage with these two tugs at an early date if this actual sweeping test is successful. Result would be most important and would, with the aid of ten or twelve tugs of the LAPWING class, finish up the sweeping of the North Sea Barrage quickly and safely. When can we expect ten or twelve tugs of the LAPWING class in case they are needed?
